Prayer and Preparation

As you prepare to study, spend time praying for God’s wisdom, and pray for the Holy Spirit’s power to change in response to what He shows you. Know that we are praying for you as we prepare to gather Sunday.

The psalmist describes the frailty of this life in verses 3 through 6. Summarize the psalmist: how is life fragile?

Verses 7 through 11 tell of the difficulties of this life and the judgement that is coming. How does this level of awareness develop wisdom?

Considering the first 11 verses, the psalmist makes a request of God to close the psalm. What is a summary of his requests made in verses 12 through 17?
